The route is ready. Bring the fleet.
Whistler Skibus is seeking a coach operator for the Vancouver–Whistler scheduled ski service. If you run buses, or are ready to start, send an inquiry below.
A coach operator's structural problem is not vehicles, it is load factor on a seasonal route they have no channel into. Ours is the inverse: a live channel of winter travellers and no fleet.
Nine recorded seasons across two operators. Seasons 2009–2013 not recorded; excluded from all totals.
What's on the table
A licensed corridor, in its third decade
- —Scheduled service from Richmond, Vancouver, West Vancouver, Burnaby and North Vancouver into Whistler.
- —Seasonal: late November through April.
- —Authorised at 2 trips daily, each direction, as a minimum.
- —Three licensees serve the corridor; the competitive set is fixed by regulation.
A live booking channel, already selling
- —SnowBus sells the seats: scheduled departures, one checkout, one confirmation.
- —SnowClub members ride on every leg at the member fare.
- —Vancouver and YVR pickups feed the Whistler run.
- —Load factor is the problem we solve; fleet is the one you do.
Fleet, drivers, winter operations
- —Highway coaches with ski and board storage, winter-rated.
- —Drivers and dispatch for a daily seasonal schedule.
- —Maintenance and an operating base in the Lower Mainland.
- —A safety record and insurance fit for scheduled passenger service.
Operated under BC Passenger Transportation Licence #71298, held by Blue Cactus Coach Lines Ltd. Route authority is granted by the provincial board, is conditional on minimum service levels, and transfers only with that board's approval. This is an operating contract, not an investment offering. Whistler Skibus is a founder-owned company and not a SnowGroup product.
